The music of the "Fast and Furious" franchise set the mood as three of the cars were on display outside the AMC CityWalk, while Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson's wardrobe was displayed inside the theater on April 2 at Universal City, California.
A marathon of the "Fast and Furious" franchise as well as an advanced screening of "Furious 7" attracted people to the event.
The 5 towers area at CityWalk was closed off and only a small area was open for people to watch the DJ.
Fans gathered around the 5 towers stage as a DJ mixed songs from throughout the "Fast and Furious" franchise and gave prizes to fans who correctly answer trivia questions about the films.
Most fans gathered around "Furious 7" Brian O'Conner's Subaru WRX Forza, the blue car driven by the late Paul Walker.
Roman's 1967 Camaro, driven by Tyrese Gibson in "Furious 7 was in front of the AMC's box office.
Dominic Toretto's Buik Grand National, one of the black cars driven by Vin Diesel in the "Fast and Furious" movies was closest to the 5 towers stage.
Inside the theater were Dom and Hobbs' wardrobe, worn in "Furious 7" by Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson respectively.
Those in attendance were able to take photos with the cars and the wardrobe.
The "Fast and Furious" franchise has gathered a following and there will be a ride opening later on this year.
"Fast and Furious — Supercharged" will be introduced on June 25.
