Comedian George Lopez returns to television in TV Land's "Lopez" giving a joking view into the life of Lopez in a fictional way.
With the comedy being centered around issues which have been brought up by the comments made by some of the presidential candidates and some stereotypes that are hard to break for hispanics, the show is a fresh comedy which centers upon life after "Lopez Tonight" for George Lopez.
There are some jokes which are hilarious and some issues which are difficult to make fun of, but each part of the pilot episode respectfully handles the issues and puts a light-hearted twist to them.
Some of the guest stars of this episode are beyond amazing.
Snoop Dogg makes an appearance with a cool demeanor and adds some of his style to his scene.
There is so much name dropping on the show that after Snoop Dogg comes on the audience starts wondering who else will come up.
Through the story there are issues with George Lopez maintaining his relevance with the public, the way he interacts with the rest of the world and the way people look at him.
The comedy works on stereotypes and finds ways to work in Lopez' fame.
There are other guest stars which are surprising to see, but even Lopez gets caught up in a stereotype he fell into himself in the show.
I give this episode 4 out of 5 Popcorns. The show follows Lopez closely and makes him the center of attention. There's some good comedic moments and some great guest stars. There are other people who are introduced, but there isn't much to say about them. I can't wait to find out more about these characters which Lopez surrounds himself with.
TV Land's "Lopez" premieres March 30.
